To meet rising patient numbers and improve diagnostic capabilities, Beaumont Hospital urgently required an upgrade to its radiology suite. The goal: integrate state-of-the-art 3D imaging equipment into a constrained existing footprint — and deliver the project in just five months, all within a live critical care environment.

Rejen Architects, working with IN2 Engineering and D&B and healthcare refurbishment specialist Dublin contractor JM Stenson, played a key role in the project’s successful delivery. The scheme quadrupled the suite’s patient capacity — from 2,000 to over 8,000 annually — and involved precise coordination with clinical staff, infection control teams, and hospital management.

Completed in February 2025, the project now provides a modern, futureproofed diagnostic facility that meets stringent technical standards while improving patient experience.
