We’re seeking a talented, ambitious Architect to join our growing team in the heart of Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter. This is a key role in the studio with excellent career potential. You’ll work across a dynamic mix of projects in hospitality, residential, healthcare and adaptive reuse – helping to shape places that matter and elevate the everyday experience.
Current Projects You’ll Be Involved In
- Galgorm Castle – Transforming a 17th-century estate into a world-class boutique hotel, woodland restaurant, and cultural venue
- Luxury resort apartment scheme – Designed using low-carbon glulam and timber construction
- The Maghera Inn – Sensitively expanding a beloved hospitality destination in the foothills of the Mournes
- Private residential commissions – High-end, often located in conservation areas or listed settings
- Healthcare and decarbonisation projects – Improving infrastructure in live hospital environments
- Plus a growing portfolio of retrofit and adaptive reuse projects** across Northern Ireland and ROI.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with strong design flair, technical skill, and the drive to contribute meaningfully to our studio’s future. You’ll be confident managing workstreams, mentoring junior team members, and delivering beautiful, buildable architecture.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum 3 years’ post-Part III experience
- Strong design and technical skills across RIBA Stages 1–7
- Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, and Enscape
- Fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams
- Full UK/ROI driving licence and access to own transport
- Client-facing confidence and clear communication
- Deep interest in adaptive reuse and sensitive contemporary design
Desirable Criteria
- Freehand sketching and visual storytelling
- ROI project experience and BCAR process familiarity
- Healthcare sector experience
- AutoCAD, Photoshop or InDesign proficiency
- Conservation background or interest
