As part of an £18m site-wide energy infrastructure upgrade, Beaumont Hospital required a series of architectural interventions to support critical systems across its campus. These included a rooftop extension to relocate TSD offices to accommodate new generators on ground floor and the creation of new electrical switchrooms — all to be delivered in a live acute healthcare environment with minimal disruption.

Rejen Architects were appointed by project lead IN2 Engineering to design and coordinate these works. Our scope included architectural design, planning applications, detailed phasing strategies, BCAR and coordination with specialist consultants. We also supported the fire engineer in preparing Fire Safety Certificates (FSC) and Disability Access Certificates (DAC), and played a key role in reviewing subcontractor packages and addressing site queries.

This complex infrastructure project required precision, flexibility, and experience in live hospital infrastructure upgrades and retrofit coordination. It is currently under construction, with phased works ongoing across the hospital campus and due for completion in Q4 2025.
